Top email goals–I feel like checking the “check all ” box for this question. For me, it really depends on the email. Like anything, companies should send a mix of content. Like the author says, focus on 3-5 goals…”If we prioritize everything, we prioritize nothing.”
For example, some emails should be used to drive action. The email could offer a monthly $25 special or an offer to download the latest whitepaper. The success of these emails is measurable by sales or by registrations. Marketers should also mix in thought leadership content to build brand and provide consistent touches to the audience. For example, an alarm company could send an email offering the ” top 5 tips for securing your house” that leads to a blog post. This email serves as a touch point to build brand for future action-driven emails.
