Introduce yourself:
Hi. My name’s Melissa Newman Evans and I’m a client services manager at Digital Pi.

What is the best thing about your job?
I think the best thing about working at Digital Pi is the fact that I get to work with so many different clients who have so many different problems and frequently see that they’re the same problems and we get to show people the best way to do things and make things easier for people.

What do you do when you’re not at work?
Outside of work, I am an instructor and fencer at the Denver Historical Fencing Academy. My primary weapons are Saber and rapier, but we also do a lot of long sword. Historical fencing is so much fun and a really interesting way to stay active. Umm, it’s one other thing that I love because it’s there’s always more to learn about it.

What is the most unique item in your workspace?
The most unique item in my workspace is probably our record collection and record player. Over here. I really love vinyl. I think that the sound it has is so unique and so interesting that I’m always looking to pick up old and weird records from yard sales and second-hand shops.

What is your bucket list vacation spot?
My bucket list Vacation spot is definitely Italy. I’ve been wanting to go to Italy forever. I was raised by a big Italian family so we have lasagna on Christmas and I really want to go and visit and drink the wine and see Pompeii. I also took four years of Latin in high school and I still remember a little bit of it, so seeing the ruins and eating the food sounds absolutely amazing.

What is your secret talent?
I think my secret talent is cooking. I love to cook. I love to cook for other people. I bake a lot of bread. I have a sourdough starter named Evelyn. I make pasta a lot. I just love making food and sharing it with people.

What is your favorite snack for a road trip?
I feel like my favorite snack for a road trip is probably Fritos. Uh, they are such a guilty pleasure. They are just so crunchy and perfect. And if you really wanna get weird with it, you can make the frito pie with the chili and the cheese on top. And it’s all. It’s so good, it’s it’s trashy, but it’s delicious.
