Get a Reality Check: Sales and Marketing Alignment
Great article by @funnelholic on sales getting on the same page with sales. I love the point of how he buying cycle has changed for buyers and that marketing at the early stage has become much more important.
Sales wants it.At the end of the day – if sales isn’t going for it…then alignment ain’t happening. For years, all the blog posts, etc on the topic were written by marketing folks. It seemed like alignment was a marketing-driven.
It’s essentially an olive branch to marketing. Sales people realize that they have lost the first 1/3 of the buying cycle and buyers are more informed than ever before. Sales need marketing now.
